Contests & Giveaways

Lace Doily Gathered Skirt Winner!

I made this skirt as part of a tutorial on how to sew gathered skirts, but as much as I love it alas it is not my size. This is great for somebody out there though because I am giving it away!
The skirt is a gathered dirndl made of a lovely cotton fabric, a floral lace pattern that reminds me of old school doilies. The skirt has a side zipper and a pocket and is machine washable. The waist measures approximately 40″.

To win this skirt, comment on where you would wear it, or how you would style it. To get a second entry into the giveaway, follow my blog!

  1. I would wear it to work! I'm an accountant (known as being a boring job) so I let my personality shine thru with colorful outfit choices so people know I'm not boring LOL

  2. Firstly: this is awesome. The fabric is perfect!!Secondly: Apart from wearing it everywhere, I'd wear it to my upcoming family birthday celebration for my grandfathers 95th birthday!!!!He loves my vintage style and I know he'd appreciate the uniqueness of this one of a kind piece. Love it! Well done!

  3. This is adorable. I would wear it out to lunch with my friends. I have a white blouse and a pink scarf that would match perfectly with it. kneecree at gmail dot com

  4. I believe I could wear it to church. I have a cute blouse that would go with it and even a little sweater cardigan I can match it up with. Looks like you did a beautiful job sewing it. Sewing is my worst nightmare. I don't know how I ever earned my sewing badge in Girl Scouts years ago…I think they must have felt sorry for me!
